The Giverny Foundation for Contemporary Art is delighted to present its second Zeitgeist exhibition, located at 3333 Crémazie East in Montreal.
This new exhibition brings together works by 20contemporary artistswhose careers span a period of 50 years. From 1970 to the present, the works—selected in collaboration with an advisory committee comprising curators Erika Del Vecchio and Cheryl Sim—demonstrate the richness and diversity of artistic practices on the national and international scenes.
This exhibition of iconic works from the Giverny Capital Collection—someof whichare being shown to the public for the first time—weavesa narrative in which reality seems to blur into fiction. Whether through the use of science-fiction motifs or the unconventional application of technological devices, the artists in this exhibition explore a unique relationship with space-time. The public is invited to discover parallel universes—playful, absurd, introspective, material, or sensory—through 21 works.
The exhibition features work by Patrick Bernatchez, Shary Boyle, Michel de Broin, Geneviève Cadieux, Michel Daigneault, Betty Goodwin, Pascal Grandmaison, Angela Grauerholz, Milutin Gubash, Thomas Hirschhorn, Rafael Lozano-Hemmer, Scott McFarland, Ernesto Neto, Luke Painter, Magali Reus, Jeanie Riddle, Mika Rottenberg, Stephen Schofield, Marc Séguin and Bill Viola.
The exhibition runs until spring 2026.
